Kalau pernah nonton film Merantau pasti pada ga asing ma next project mereka yaitu film Serbuan Maut (The Raid) yang rencananya akan dirilis pada awal tahun 2012 di Indonesia, soalnya sutradara ma pemain utamanya sama.. yups Sutradara: Gareth Evans dan Iko Uwais

Sinopsis
Sekelompok tim SWAT yang tiba di sebuah blok apartemen kumuh dengan misi menangkap pemiliknya - seorang raja bandar narkotik bernama Tama. Blok ini tidak pernah digerebek atau pun tersentuh oleh Polisi sebelumnya. Sebagai tempat yang tidak dijangkau oleh pihak berwajib, gedung tersebut menjadi tempat berlindung para pembunuh, anggota geng, pemerkosa, dan pencuri yang mencari tempat tinggal aman. Mulai bertindak di pagi buta, kelompok SWAT diam-diam merambah ke dalam gedung dan mengendalikan setiap lantai yang mereka naiki dengan mantap. Tetapi ketika mereka terlihat oleh pengintai, penyerangan mereka terbongkar. Dari penthouse suite-nya, Tama memerintahkan untuk mengunci gedung apartemen dengan memadamkan lampu dan menutup semua jalan keluar. Terjebak di lantai 6 tanpa komunikasi dan diserang oleh penghuni apartemen yang diperintahkan oleh Tama, tim SWAT harus berjuang melewati setiap lantai dan setiap ruangan untuk menyelesaikan misi mereka dan bertahan hidup.

The Raid film score
For a long time, I have been wanting to score a film. In order for it to work, it would have to have a great story, stunning visuals, and the timing would have to work out in a way that didn’t distract from all the things I want to do with Linkin Park.
I’m really excited to have finally found the right project. The movie is called The Raid. Its intense martial arts choreography, amazing cinematography, and great story have been inspiring all kinds of new music. I’m excited for all of you to see—and hear—this film.

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Scoring Action Flick ‘The Raid’
Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda has signed on to score ‘The Raid,’ the high-flying action flick gaining buzz around stars martial arts master Iko Uwais and Joe Taslim.
The movie made its North American premiere this week at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival’s “Midnight Madness” screening, but obviously isn’t quite in the can — Shinoda has yet to complete the soundtrack.
“The intense visuals and compelling story of ‘The Raid’ have made this an exciting first venture into scoring for me,’ says Shinoda, who is scoring a feature-length film for the first time. “I’m thrilled for Linkin Park fans to see — and hear — this film.”
And while U.S. rights to the film already have been acquired, no release date has been announced. Perhaps they are waiting until it’s finished first.
Says Dan Primozic, who negotiated Shinoda’s involvement, “Dropping a brand new score by Mike Shinoda on it will be like adding a whole new main character to a picture that’s already cranked to 11!”
